A company trading as Touchpoints has announced a data analytics platform aimed specifically at short-term rental operators, built to track guest interactions across the booking and stay cycle in a single dashboard. The announcement, distributed through a press release wire this week, gives no launch date beyond the release itself, no pricing, and no named customers.

What the platform says it tracks

Based on the company's own description, the tool groups guest interactions into what it calls touchpoints: the initial inquiry, the booking confirmation, pre-arrival messaging, check-in, the stay itself, checkout, and the post-stay review. The pitch is that operators currently piece this journey together across a channel manager, a messaging inbox and a review dashboard, and that consolidating it into one view surfaces where guests disengage or where response times slip. None of that is unusual as a concept. Guest-experience tracking has been a feature, not a standalone category, inside most property management systems for years.

What the announcement leaves out

The release names no integration partners, so it is unclear whether the platform pulls data directly from Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com, or whether it depends on a manual import or a channel manager feed. It cites no customer count, no case study and no independent user. There is no stated price, free trial length or minimum contract term. For a tool that positions itself as purpose-built for an operational niche, that is a thin starting point for anyone deciding whether to hand over booking and guest data.

Why operators should wait for proof

Guest analytics is a crowded corner of the short-term rental software market, and most established property management platforms already report response times, review scores and booking funnel data as part of their existing dashboards. A new entrant asking operators to add another tool, and another data feed, needs to show what it does that current systems do not. Until Touchpoints publishes pricing, names a live integration and points to an operator actually running it on a portfolio, the announcement is a claim rather than a working product review. Hosts weighing it against tools they already pay for should ask for a reference customer before committing any listing data.
