VayKLife has acquired Xplorie, the company behind the free-attraction-ticket and discount programs that thousands of vacation rental managers bundle into their bookings. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. For property managers already running Xplorie's amenity programs, the immediate task is figuring out whether their existing contracts, ticket inventory and guest-facing booking flow carry over unchanged once the two companies combine their systems.

What Xplorie actually sold property managers

Xplorie built its business supplying vacation rental companies with included perks - free or discounted tickets to theme parks, water parks, boat tours and other local attractions - marketed as a differentiator on listing pages, particularly in drive-to leisure markets like Orlando, the Smoky Mountains and the Gulf Coast. Property managers pay to participate, then advertise the perk to guests as a value-add baked into the stay rather than an upsell.

Where VayKLife fits into the deal

VayKLife operates on the other side of that transaction: a booking layer that lets vacation rental guests reserve local tours and activities directly, generating a cut of paid bookings rather than a flat program fee. Combining the two means a property manager could, in principle, offer guests both the bundled included perks and a menu of paid activities through one system instead of stitching together separate vendor relationships and separate guest communications for each.

What changes for managers on the ground

Nothing changes at the front desk this week. Existing Xplorie contracts and ticket allocations are expected to keep running while the companies integrate their platforms, though neither has published a timeline for when a combined product reaches current customers. Managers already enrolled in Xplorie's programs should ask their account representative directly whether pricing, participating attraction lists or contract terms are up for renegotiation once the acquisition closes, rather than assume renewal terms hold.

The bigger question is whether folding a paid-activity marketplace into a program built around free included perks changes how either is priced. Xplorie's model depends on volume deals with attraction operators; VayKLife's depends on guests choosing to spend money during their stay. Managers who rely on the included-ticket perk as a marketing hook will want to see how the combined company positions that feature once a paid-booking option sits next to it on the same guest portal.

For managers not currently using either service, the deal is a signal that ancillary revenue and guest-experience tooling remain an active area of consolidation in the vacation rental sector, alongside platforms' own pushes into tours and activities. Whether that translates into a materially different product - or simply two existing services sold under one roof - will depend on what VayKLife actually ships once the integration work is done.
